Chung Chi College is pioneering the implementation of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology for its new student hostel development. A full-scale 1:1 physical prototype has been installed at Ho Lawn, adjacent to Chung Chi Piazza, serving as a visualization and simulation platform before construction.

This demonstration unit reproduces all MiC components, including structural joint details and pre-integrated systems. Key technological advantages include:

- Reduction in construction timeline through modular prefabrication

- Decrease in construction waste via factory production

- Reduction in high-risk aerial work

- Reduction in on-site wet trade works leads to a cleaner working environment.

The prototype serves dual purposes: as a technical verification platform for construction teams and as a quality control benchmark for full-scale implementation. This initiative underscores Chung Chi College's leadership in adopting innovative construction methodologies while maintaining its commitment to sustainable campus development.
